This step-by-step guide will show you how to add a timer for Google Forms.
While Google Forms doesn't natively support this feature, third-party add-ons make it easy to integrate a timer for exams, quizzes, or timed surveys.
So let’s dive in and add a timer to your Google Forms!
Steps:
1. Open the Google Form where you want to add the timer.
2. Click on the three vertical dots (⋮) in the upper-right corner of the form.
3. Select "Get add-ons" from the drop-down menu.
In the configuration settings, you will face a problem if you logged into multiple Google accounts.
To solve this problem, go to the incognito window of your web browser and log into the email that opened your form. You can see in the below image I am signing in incognito mode.
Now the problem is solved.
Then set the countdown timer and other necessary parameters as required for your form.
You can set the duration, start time, and other specific settings depending on your needs.
1. Save your settings.
2. Click on the preview button (the eye icon) to see how the timer functions within your form.
And that’s it! You have added a timer on your Google Form.
Finished!
Adding a timer to your Google Forms can significantly enhance their effectiveness for various purposes.
By following the steps outlined above, you can seamlessly integrate a timer into your forms using third-party add-ons.
We hope this guide has been helpful in setting up a timer for your Google Forms.
